Declaring Glory

If we will carefully observe nature and the elements, it becomes easy to recognize the glory of God being revealed and constantly declared. Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” We know that the glory of God is the presence of God. There is no denying His presence in all of the ways He expresses himself to us. The beauty displayed in the rising of the sun, the setting of the stars, an open meadow of untouched flowers, and even the flow of brooks and beaches, they all remind us of the ultimate, unlimited, uncontainable glory of God.

Heaven and earth are both declaring God's glory. Not only is this declaration evident by the hand of God through the world around us, but it should be evident from within us to the world. Our lives have purpose. When we understand our identity in Christ Jesus, we see the connection between His purposes in us as they reveal glory through us. We were made to make manifest the glory of God.

It is the will of God for us to declare His glory through our lives, every day, and through everything we do. Not only by our actions and behavior should we be declaring God’s glory, but also by the words we speak. The words we speak are reflective of our attitude and heart posture. When we align our words with the Spirit of God and declare God’s glory through our speech, it impacts and transforms the atmospheres and environments we frequent.

No matter what you may see before you in the natural, declare God’s glory. Over your family. Over your health. Over your mind. Our words are effective and especially powerful when they reflect God’s glory. If you speak of God's presence, His glory will manifest in your midst.

Declare God’s glory as you worship Him. He is so deserving and we can never give Him enough glory. Psalm 115 tells us , “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” The more we give God glory, the more of His glory we experience. He should be our reflection as we allow His glory to conform and change us into all He desires for us.

Yes! We must tell of His goodness. We must tell of His love. We must speak well of Him. Most of all, we must declare His glory. As we do this, his glory is released in us and through us, over and over again.
