Worship While You Wait

I believe with all of my heart that 2017 is the year of fulfillment on God’s divine calendar. Many of us are believing God for specific promises to manifest and even see answers to some of our longest prayed prayers come to pass. Along our journey of believing, there is yet and still a process that often involves waiting. This month, I want to especially encourage you not to become distracted or discouraged in that process. Instead, I want you to focus on worshiping while you wait.

Waiting is something we do, not because we want to, but rather because we have to. As a matter of fact, it is part of our everyday living. Wherever we go-to the grocery store, sitting in traffic, standing in line at the bank, or eating at a restaurant-there is usually a “wait time” involved. Since we know that this is inevitable, our attention must shift from the reality of waiting to the activity of what to do while we wait. May I propose that you direct your focus to worship?

In Isaiah 40:31, it is recorded: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah gives us a peek at the benefits of waiting upon the Lord. How exactly does one wait in God? The answer: It’s in your worship. It is only after worshiping God and being in his presence that you can experience the kind of renewed strength Isaiah speaks of. Worship equips us to wait patiently; joyfully; expectantly! We are empowered by the glory of God released from being in His presence to hope and trust in Him. While we stand in faith we are strengthened to declare release, to declare breakthrough, and to declare manifestation for our lives!

God is still a God of miracles, and he can move suddenly on our behalf. But when the delivery of your promise requires the process of waiting, don’t forget to actively worship the Father. Remember, our emphasis is never to be placed upon His presents more than His presence. Here’s a thought, “If the miracle you're expecting never manifested, could you still remain in a posture of worship?” May we always view worship as our privilege and our supreme satisfaction above all else we could ever desire. My friend, I do believe this IS the year of fulfillment for you! As you wait upon the Lord, wait in God through your lifeline of worship. Worship while you wait, and watch God come through for you as only He can, right at His appointed due season!
